We work on Balance to help prevent falls and to develop stabilising muscles. We work on mobility, stability and flexibility.

Pilates for older adults
Discover how to maximise functional health, balance, coordination and flexibility in a workout aimed at keeping the body moving.
This class is aimed at beginners and perhaps those with restricted mobility. Exercises are designed to re-connect mind and body, target the functional capacity of the older participant. Using light hand-held weights and resistance bands, this workout, is created to increase proprioceptive awareness, improve joint range of motion, balance, posture as well as bring about a general sense of well-being.
Clients will be guided through standing and chair based exercises. Some exercises may be taught on the floor on a Mat but this will depend on the individual client.
